Exhibiting Technologies, Solutions, and New Products Based on Our Core Technologies
in the Fields of Video, Audio, and Communications Systems
JVCKENWOOD Exhibits at CES 2020
JVCKENWOOD Corporation (JVCKENWOOD) will exhibit at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020, one of the world’s largest electronics shows, to be held from January 7 (Tue.) to 10 (Fri.), 2020 (local time), in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The JVCKENWOOD booth will mainly showcase technologies, solutions, and new products based on our core technologies in the fields of visual, audio, and communications systems. Our exhibits will mainly feature dashcams offered in the Japanese market as well as overseas markets, ranging from products for the aftermarket to those for dealer-installed options and those with communication capabilities provided to insurance companies. In addition, we will unveil EXOFIELD THEATER, a new product equipped with EXOFIELD out-of-head localization sound field processing technology, and offer a trial listening demonstration ahead of product launch.
From our new product lines, our car electronics exhibits will highlight car AV products which support wireless connections to Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Wireless. Our AV exhibits will feature IP video production solutions, centering on CONNECTED CAM STUDIO live production suits, that support a wide range of video production workflows from shooting to broadcasting and streaming. We will also showcase solutions for the sports field, such as by holding a trial listening demonstration of new products from the AE series of Bluetooth® sports headphones.

We will exhibit our full line of dashcams offered globally under the KENWOOD and JVC brands, ranging from the latest model launched in Japan in November 2019 to those for dealer-installed options for automobile manufacturers and those with communication capabilities provided to insurance companies.
We will hold a demonstration of our telematics solutions that feature high-resolution recording and communication capabilities, developed with our visual and optical technologies cultivated over the years, enabled by connecting to car navigation systems and display audio systems.
EXOFIELD is our unique sound processing technology that enables out-of-head localization of sound images and creates a sound field and localization of sound images achieved in typical speaker listening even with headphones. It does this by measuring the personal acoustic characteristics of individual users and performing audio signal processing that is optimally customized to individual users, unlike conventional headphones with in-head localization of sound images. We will exhibit EXOFIELD THEATER, which is slated for launch from the JVC brand in the spring of 2020. EXOFIELD THEATER is equipped with EXOFIELD that supports reproduction of multi-channel sound sources (7.1.4ch), in addition to the existing feature of reproduction of speaker sound sources (2ch stereo). It can reproduce a three-dimensional sound field and localize sound images that are optimal for individual users for a realistic immersive sound experience of a multi-channel speaker system in headphones. The JVCKENWOOD booth will have a demonstration area to offer a trial listening experience ahead of the product launch.
Our new car electronics products feature connectivity with smartphones through wireless connection with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, as well as enhanced connectivity with cameras. We will also present a new lineup of high-end car electronics products for the North American market, including an enhanced lineup of models of car navigation systems and display audio systems equipped with high-resolution, high-luminance HD screens.
We will exhibit the Saisoku Navigation series car navigation systems that realized higher resolution and higher sound quality through the adoption of HD LCD panel and support of high-resolution sound sources. In addition, a demonstration of high definition video playback on a large screen of a navigation system will be available by connecting to the dedicated model of dashcam for the HD Saisoku Navigation Series car navigation systems.
A new Jeep® Renegade 2020 equipped with KENWOOD Premium Audio System is now on exhibition. You can enjoy its impressive sound realized thanks to KENWOOD’s original technology.
We will propose IP video production solutions, centering on CONNECTED CAM STUDIO compact live production and streaming suits for live events, such as sports and music, that support a wide range of video production workflows from shooting and broadcasting to streaming. In addition, we will offer a demonstration of systems designed to improve the quality of sports competition and on-field decisions, such as coaching systems and replay systems for assisting on-field decisions offered by DVSport, a software solutions company with a strong track record of delivery in the U.S.
We will also offer a technology exhibition and trial listening demonstration of new products from the AE series of sports headphones that support daily training of runners seriously working to improve running time with music. They include the HA-AE5T full-wireless headphones, the HA-AE1W wireless earphones, and the HA-ET65BV wireless headphones with real-time voice coaching for improving running form.
We will offer a demonstration of K2 TECHNOLOGY for creating high-quality digital sound, developed jointly by JVCKENWOOD and Victor Studio. Applying high-frequency range expansion processing and small-signal amplification processing to compressed/degraded digital music sources enables the music data to be restored to an optimal state and allows the conversion of CD spec music sources (44.1 kHz/16 bits) to music sources with original master sound quality (192 kHz/24 bits).
Modulo KENWOOD NSX GT3, a racing car that competed in the GT300 class of the 2019 Super GT Series, will be showcased. JVCKENWOOD supported this premier touring car racing series in Japan. In addition, the official on-board camera system provided by JVCKENWOOD for television coverage will be on display. The new model, which we started providing in 2019, achieved further downsizing and weight reduction and delivers clear video shooting with reduced distortion. At the same time, it ensures durability and ruggedness under extreme conditions, such as a car interior temperature that is estimated to rise to approx. 60°C during the race, the vibration of the car body, and the impact of a crash
