Amid the numerous environmental issues the world is facing, addressing climate change and effective use of resouces are particularly vital issues for corporate management. The Group is working to reduce CO2 emissions and efficiently use resources across the entire value chain, from procurement and product development to the provision of products and services.
In our Entertainment Solutions Sector, JVCKENWOOD is working on the effective use of resources through improved recyclability as well as reducing CO2 emissions through lower power consumption.
Headphones/Earphones
Since 2020, we have been promoting the use of plastic-free packaging materials for headphones and earphones. We have been using paper-based materials for the packaging materials of all products launched after 2022. We have set targets for each fiscal year regarding the usage rate of FSC-certified paper and are expanding these in phases.
Adoption of FSC-certified paper in packaging and cushioning materials
We are working to realize decreased CO2 emissions and lengthened usage time by reducing the power consumption of Bluetooth®-compatible headphones and earphones. We have set reduction targets for CO2 emissions for each fiscal year and are proceeding with them systematically.
