This technology integrates a proprietary D-ILA device with high-precision optical components, supported by advanced simulation and implementation technologies.
Its design thoroughly eliminates stray light from the optical system, achieving high native contrast.


• Wire-Grid Optical System

The optical system incorporates our proprietary high-performance wire-grid polarizer.
Its nanoscale metallic microstructure transmits only linear polarization in a specific direction, effectively blocking unwanted polarization components.
This suppresses elevated black levels caused by stray light within the optical system and dramatically enhances native contrast.

To maintain precise alignment of the wire-grid polarizer, we employ extremely accurate mechanical design and assembly technologies, along with high stability against heat and vibration.

• Polarization Compensation Technology

To suppress light leakage caused by the phase difference unique to D-ILA devices, we have developed a specially designed polarization compensation plate.
By optimizing polarization characteristics through advanced optical simulation, this technology precisely corrects the polarization state of light passing through the liquid-crystal layer, significantly reducing elevated black levels.

The integration of these sophisticated optical design and implementation technologies maximizes the native contrast of D-ILA devices, greatly enhancing gradation expression and image realism.

• Comprehensive Stray-Light Control through Optical Simulation

To maximize image purity, we perform detailed analysis of all light paths that could degrade image quality—such as minute scattered light generated at the edges of optical components or multiple reflections within the projection lens. Based on this analysis, we then implement thorough countermeasures against stray light across every optical element.

This meticulous attention to detail contributes to improved native contrast, deeper blacks, and an overwhelming sense of visual depth and realism.
